Good Morning:

• Jaele Shaver was released from the hospital yesterday!  She is still very weak and in need of prayers for complete recovery.  Thank you for your prayer support for her and her family.

 

 

Please pray for Pastor Mike and Betty – Betty’s father passed away this morning. They are traveling to Missouri.

• Lesli File had a surgerical procedure last week and everything went well.  Thank you for praying for Lesli.

Update and Praise

Good Afternoon:

We have a praise/update:

• Regina Hooten had 5 bypasses on her heart as well as a valve repaired and a hole in her heart repaired.  She is doing quite well and will be in ICU for a couple of days.  Praise God she is doing so well.  Continue to pray for her recovery.

Praise on Prayer

Good Afternoon:

We received this praise about praying and thought you would be blessed by it:

 

"If prayer wasn't that important--if it wasn't that significant, why would Jesus still be sitting at the right hand of God praying for me?"           (Hmmmm----wow!!)

"Why would the Spirit be groaning--as the message puts it:  "He (the Holy Spirit) does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs (I love that!), our aching groans(love that too!!)".....if prayer is not significant?       (Wow again!!)

One other tid bit:  You know I've thought why does God want me to "ask", when He knows what's on my heart?  I've always answered that using the illustration of my sons.  They don't want me to jump into their lives and say "here you go, let me handle this!", they want to handle situations on their own and when the time is right(if they need too), they will come to me and we will work together to find a solution.  But, there's another aspect that came to me, it comes from Amos 3:3, "Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?"  I need to talk to my Father---I want to daily walk with Him and I want to walk in agreement with Him.  Think about this, I can get so lost and so overwhelmed on my own, but not when I'm walking in agreement with Him.

Hope this gives you a little boost, a little encouragement to your prayer life as it did for me!!

We praise God for a great Resurrection Sunday,  Thank you to all who helped in anyway to make our worship service honoring to our Lord and Savior.  Praise God for all the people who attended.  God is good all the time!

• The man who we prayed for who was having tests run--all tests came back negative!  Thank you God!!!

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

   Worship the Lord with gladness;

   come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the Lord is God.

Praise

The older gentleman with pneumonia is out of hospital and clear of the pneumonia.  Continue to pray for his COPD/emphysema condition.
